The Bots and the Big Shocker (Part Three)
"I don't get it. How could one robot steal an entire house?" Chriz was confused.
"Trust me. Lady Steele, can." Springtime sighed.
"That's really too bad, I'm sure you lived somewhere nice. Where will you stay?"
"We're staying in that house because we're going to find it and bring it back," Pegusa declared. "Right, Bots?"
"Yeah!" Hydra, Springtime, Tulip, and Chriz cheered.
"But where is Lady Steele's lair?" Hydra asked.
Chriz shut her eyes and concentrated, and then she spread her palms and shot a sparky yellow map into the sky. "Here's a map of this world."
They watched, slightly agog. "Wow, that's amazing," Tulip breathed. "And I think I see her lair, right there."
"I think you're right," said Chriz. "Let's go there now."

The Bots and the Big Shocker (Part Two)
"You're with us now," Tulip explained. "We're the Bots, and you just formed out of some lightning. Would you like to join us?"
"I would indeed," the girl said, brushing the hair out of her eyes. "I'm Chriz Lamp, and you are?"
"I'm Tulip, and these are my friends Springtime, Hydra, and Pegusa."
"Cool. So where do you live?"
"We live right-" Springtime started to say before realizing the house was gone. "...there..."
"Where did it go?"
"This looks like the work of- Lady Steele!"

The Bots and the Big Shocker (Part One)
It was raining buckets again. This time, though, it was thundering and, um, lightening-ing, too. The Bots were inside, reading magazines and watching the storm. Suddenly, CRASH!!!!
"AAAAAHHHHH!" all the Bots screamed at once as the sky filled with light and sparks.
"What happened?" Springtime asked.
"I.-I think a bunch of lightening just struck that metal pole," Hydra said softly.
"Wow, I didn't know that would make sparks go WHOO! like they did," Tulip commented.
"It wouldn't usually cause THAT many sparks..." Hydra started to say.
"...UNLESS A NEW BOT WAS FORMED!" the other three finished.
The four rushed outside in the pouring rain, Hydra and Springtime thinking quickly enough to grab umbrellas so they wouldn't get bigger or rust, respectively.
There, lying before the pole, was a girl with short bright yellow hair. It reached barely past the base of her neck. Her skin was neon yellow and she was wearing a dress so bright it was hard to look at. She opened her eyes and fluttered her long lashes. "OH!' she cried. "Where am I?"

The Bots and the Rainy Day
The Bots toddled into the Robotic Recharging Dorms one rainy Friday.
"Why aren't you all bouncy like usual?" Tulip asked Springtime. Tulip was very sensitive about the welfare of other Bots.
"I was out in the rain and my springs rusted," she moaned.
"Let me get you some oil," Tulip replied. "I love rain. It waters me so I don't have to."
Hydra had trouble getting through the door. "The water attaches itself to me and makes me bigger! And the longer I stay out here trying to get in, the bigger I get!" she groaned.
Pegusa shook herself. "And the rain water logs my feathers and makes it hard to fly!"
Tulip sighed. "Am I the only one who likes rain?"
"Yes," Springtime confirmed. Suddenly, the sun came out.
"But we all love a sunny day!" Tulip shouted, running outside to warm herself.

Pegusa and the Lovesick Birds
Pegusa zoomed into the Robot Recharging Dorms. A whole flock of wild, pecking birds was chasing her.
"What's going on?" Springtime shouted, waving away a crazed woodpecker.
"I think they're in love with me!" Pegusa hollered. "They like my wings!"
Suddenly, all the birds swarmed around Tulip, too!
"Look at all those hummingbirds! They like my petals!" she screamed.
Hydra pulled out a sweet-smelling flower. She watched as all the birds crowded it. She morphed into a winding river and carried the flower away... with all the birds after it.
Springtime cheered.
Tulip giggled.
Pegusa laughed.
Hydra just smiled.

Tulip's Caterpillar Blues
Tulip screamed. Springtime, Hydra, and Pegusa raced to the spot.
"Are you okay?" Pegusa cried. She was especially worried, since Tulip was her creator.
"No!" Tulip shouted. "I have caterpillars! They're eating me! Ohhh! It's so gross!" Tulip did an odd jig as a little fuzzy creature took a big bite out of her leafy hand.
Pegusa daintily plucked the caterpillar off of Tulip's injured hand. "Awww, he's a sweet little baby butterfly. I love butterflies. They have wonderful wings."
"That sweet little wonderful-winged butterfly is going to devour me," Tulip grouched.
Hydra gazed at the fuzzy creature Pegusa held. "Let's let it loose in the meadow." she suggested.
"Bad idea, Hydra. It would come back to haunt me!"
"THIS little fella? C'mon, Tulip, let's put him in a jar and let him go when he's a butterfly." Springtime brainstormed.
So they did just that, and the baby butterfly came back the day after he was free to thank Tulip and her friends.

Introducing Pegusa! (Part Two)
Pegusa let Springtime, Tulip, and Hydra climb onto her back. She took off into the air. It was the most exciting ten minutes the Bots had ever experienced.
"So what do you say?" Springtime asked while they were airborne. "Will you join the Bots?"
"Of course I will!" Pegusa cried. "If I don't I'll have to join Lady Steele or be alone!"
"You already told her about Lady Steele?" Hydra questioned Tulip. "
Well, yes," Tulip replied. "I thought she should know."
"You were right," Hydra agreed. "If she met Lady Steele before she knew about her, who KNOWS what would happen?"
"Let's not discuss it," Tulip added with a shudder.
Pegusa touched down in the meadow surrounding Tulip's workshop. "Here we are!" she declared cheerily. Everyone got off, excited to show their world to a new friend.

Introducing Pegusa!
Tulip burst into the robot dorm room. Her freckled face was red with excitement.
"I created a robot in my lab!" she cried. "Come meet her!"
Hydra, who almost never got excited, dropped her copy of Water Weekly and came running. Springtime was not far behind, bouncing happily on her springy legs.
"Well, let's go!" she shouted, and the three bounded outside and to Tulip's robot lab.
A beautiful robot stood in the middle of it, looking around in a confused way. "Bots, meet Pegusa!" Tulip announced grandly.
The new Bot waved shyly. "I'm Pegusa. I was made of feathers and represent the element of birds, air, and flight!"
She leapt into the air and flapped her beautiful wings. Pegusa soared through the air and landed lightly on her toes next to Springtime, who immediately introduced herself and Hydra. "Will you give me a piggyback ride?" she asked.
Pegusa laughed. "Hop on," she replied.
Everyone knew this was going to be an interesting day.

Hydra's Namesake
"Hydra, I've been wondering. How did you get your name?" Springtime asked one day.
"Did you get it from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? Hyde-ra? That doesn't make sense." Tulip mused.
Hydra laughed. "No, but I did get my name from a monster. There is an ancient Greek myth about Herakles killing a monster called the Hydra."
"Herakles? Who's Herakles?" Springtime shouted.
"In Rome, he's called Hercules. Does that help? Anyway, the Hydra (not me) had nine heads. Whenever one was cut off, TWO HEADS grew in its place."
"Yikes," Tulip cringed.
"Yes, I know. Anyway, Herakles figured out that if he cut off a head and held a burning torch to the stub of neck, then it wouldn't grow back." Hydra finished.
"That's a nice story, but why are you named Hydra?" Springtime asked.
"Cut off my head," said Hydra. It was the most unexpected thing she'd ever said.
"Ooo-kaaayy..."
"No really, pretend your hand is a sword. Slice it through my head." Tulip bravely volunteered. Her hand went right through Hydra's neck and out the other side.
"I'm pretty much indestructible," Hydra said modestly.
"Like the Hydra!" cried Tulip.
"Now I get it," giggled Springtime. "But unlike the Hydra, fire won't hurt YOU."

Lady Steele Strikes Again
When Tulip woke up and unplugged herself, her watering can was gone. She had to hug Hydra to get water every once in a while.
When Springtime tried to bounce, her springs were gone. She was just an ordinary, stiff metal robot. She had to walk like a mummy in a monster movie.
When Hydra tried to listen to calm music, her radio was gone. She had to hum to herself to hear any song at all.
When Lady Steele melted down Tulip's watering can, Springtime's springs, and Hydra's radio, she had enough metal to make herself bigger. And MEANER.
When the Bots were menaced by this huge, mean, robot, they came up with a plan.
When Hydra squirted water on Lady Steele, she rusted. They were able to melt HER down and get their belongings back, bigger and better than before.
When Lady Steele was re-created, she was no bigger than a small pocket dictionary...thanks to Springtime's intricate sculpting skills.
It would be a long time before Lady Steele would get enough metal to rebuild herself bigger again. For this, the Bots were glad.

Hydra Beats the Heat
"Hydra looks a little shorter than she did yesterday," noted Springtime. "I wonder why?"
"Being a plant, I know all about water," Tulip piped up. "You see, when it gets hot, water will evaporate into the air. Hydra is made of water. She must be evaporating!"
"But wouldn't she rain and get normal again?" Springtime asked.
Tulip shrugged. "Or we could add some more water to her."
Springtime blushed. "Of course."
That night, while Hydra was recharging (like all robots do), Tulip and Springtime crept up and sprayed her with the hose, until she was normal-sized. Hydra woke up and unplugged herself. "What a refreshing sleep," she said to herself. "Hey! I feel better!" Springtime couldn't keep from shouting, "We de-evaporated you!" Hydra had to laugh. Could she wish for better friends than these?
